My name is Isabela Guadalupe, I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and live in Snellville, Georgia. I visit San Juan, Puerto Rico and the Bronx in New York often to see my dad and his family as well. Since my first language class in high school, I’ve loved learning different languages and challenging myself in various different ones. So far, my most developed is Mandarin, my favorite has been Khmer, and the one I’m most excited to master is Spanish. Outside of studying languages, I like to educate myself on different cultures in the world and how other countries go about their lives. Because of both of these things, I talk to a lot of people outside of the US and have good friends in various continents. Although I wouldn’t consider having friends a hobby, I feel like knowing such a diverse group of people has shaped my global awareness for the better. Outside of school, I enjoy watching streaming services, playing video games, and spending time with siblings and pets. I also help my mom manage her Instagram accounts and soap business which I consider great practice for the future. This isn’t the only experience I have helping my family with their businesses, I used to informally work at my moms bakery as well as my grandma’s hair salon which allowed me to develop a mature work ethic.
